This is the second album which came via download from the Juilliard and it is surely cause for great rejoicing to have these classic Ives recordings back in the catalogue. Although there have been efforts to record these works, none has ever matched the sheer quality and pristine technical excellence of these Juilliard recordings which reach exalted standards that will probably never be bettered.

Just listening to the first movement of the 2nd quartet takes one into another world. One really cannot add anything further but to eagerly recommend a quick download onto the iPod.
