Giovanni Maria Trabaci [c.1575 - December 31, 1647] was a Neapolitan composer and organist. Trabaci succeeded his teacher Giovanni De Macque in Naples, and wrote a fairly large amount of highly chromatic keyboard music.
Trabaci wrote in the major forms of the time, including toccatas and canzoni, and even utilized instruments with more than 12 keys to an octave. His output is the most characteristic of the Neapolitan keyboard school. ~ Todd McComb (8/97)
