This fine recording dating back to 1967 demonstrates Telemann's sense of baroque inventiveness that was discovered by the pioneering Harnoncourt in his Teldec recordings. He sets consistently fast speeds throughout as well as keeping a tight watch on ensemble perorations and variations with an end result which is as thrilling as it is refreshing. The recordings have come up as fresh as a daisy and if you really love the sound of this sort of music then you really must snap this up.
