This is one of the first download reviews of hopefully many more in the pipeline. Sony have made four classic albums by the Juilliard String Quartet available and one can only wax lyrical about the legendary standard of these long unavailable performances.

This delightful album of miniatures is a case in point with the Juilliard putting some wonderful character into pieces such as Giacomo Puccini's "Crisantemi" and Schubert's lovely "Quartettsatz". All pieces are played with admirable virtuosity throughout and the remastering has come out truly top notch in all departments. A must have for fans of this great quartet.
