Immensely pleasing accounts of both sonatas from the honey-toned Delmoni and a passionate Bachman Vas. This is my first encounter with Delmoni and I'm pleased to say that he shares some traits of one of my favorite fiddlers, Aaron Rosand: the aforementioned silken tone and a stylish technique that is always at the service of the music. There are probably more gripping performances available but few more listenable. The analog masters (1982) are well transferred, giving full play to the blissful depth and color these composers evoke.
