• Unknown occasion

With an unknown text, written for an unknown occasion, there's very little to say about this work! It is worth pointing out, however, that we can infer it's existence from knowledge of Bach's parody procedure in the Christmas Oratorio. The first five parts of the Christmas Oratorio are parodies of previous works, it looks like BWV 248/VI is a parody as well, hence the conclusion.
