I still retain a nostalgic Christmas LP in my collection titled "Organ and Chimes" and this wonderful disc replaces that well worn record with some delightful arrangements. There are the usual favourites such as "Joy to the World", "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night" but one can also revel in such rare pieces as Leontovich"s "Ukranian Bell Carol" or Bizet"s "March of the Kings".
My only qualms with this otherwise splendidly produced record is the short playing time which clocks in at only just over three quarters of an hour. However such is the intensity of the Columba Ringers under their trusty Bro Reinsant that the music almost goes by at too much speed! A delightful alternative to the usual choral pieces that are dished out at leisure for this time of the year.
